The Fournier Trio is blazing a trail through the chamber music world, performing regularly at the world’s leading venues.
This programme of contrasts opens with the majesty and delight of Mendelssohn’s early masterpiece, which Schumann called ‘the master trio of our age’. Equally engaging is Turina’s sparkling and concise Trio No 2. Finally, Beethoven’s mighty ‘Archduke’ Trio is a tremendous outpouring of melody, emotion and technical virtuosity.
