About
Jenny Minton: Interlude
Created in collaboration with Steve Wald
"Say, is there beauty yet to find?”
Interlude is a unique solo encounter where audiences are given the opportunity to arrange a piece of polyphonic vocal music with their movement through circles of light. As they travel around the space, they will trigger the voices of some of the UK’s most extraordinary singers, filling the room with music, layering harmonies and creating an intricate vocal composition.
Featuring the voices of Jeremy Birchall, Helen Chadwick, Daniel Cunningham, Eugenia Georgieva, Hannah Howrie, Jonathan Peter Kenny, Sam Lee, Jenny Minton, Phil Minton, Melanie Pappenheim, Ellie Showering and Rebecca Thorn.
Interlude uses excerpts from poetry by Rupert Brooke, W.H. Davies, A.E. Housman & Edward Thomas.
Devised and Composed by Jenny Minton. Created by Jenny Minton and Steve Wald.
Jenny Minton gratefully acknowledges support from Arts Council England and PRS for Music Foundation.

“Minton’s Interlude pulls off the oft-tried, rarely accomplished theatrical trick of being both epic and intimate, universal and personal. It’s chock full of joy and playfulness and is beautifully composed and delivered. I defy any age not to be spellbound”. David Micklem, 64m Artists
